       Light and dark clash in a town where everyone waits to duel. Battles take the place of words and only the best will win tournaments where glittering trophies await the victor. While travelling around Battle City, you'll meet the following anime duelists.They are listed in order of appearance in the anime with some of their phrases.If you haven't watched it, this section should help you recognize the different characters.
      When you are progressing through the game, you'll be walking around the map of Battle City.  At first, you'll only be able to access four districts ('My Home', 'Card Shop', 'Coliseum' and 'K.C. Tower'), but when you complete the game, you'll unlock '???'.  The top-left of the screen shows the day from Sunday to Saturday (although there is no calendar to show months, weeks and days).  The top centre-right of the screen displays various messages.
       There are two duel arenas (K.C. Tower and Coliseum) in Battle City.  When you go to a duel arena, you can register for tournaments.  Speak with the receptionist to complete registration.   Note that you must register before Friday if you want to participate in a tournament.
       There are two different types of duels: Single Battles, in which the winner is determined in one duel; and Match Battles, in which the winner is decided in the best of three duels.  Before the second and third duels in a Match, a player is allowed to switch cards from his/her Main Deck with cards in his/her Side Deck.  In addition, the player that loses any duel can decide the Attack Order of the next.
